A box-ball arcade alley in a pool hall opened by J. W. Marshall, the town marshall at the time.
Marshall's Amusement Subway opened in June 1914 on the west side of Cedar Street. In 1912, Sam Fleming bought the place and ran it for a short time as Sam's Amusement Parlor. S. W. (Dade) Boyd moved into the building and took over the place for a short time in 1913. Boyd sold the interest to Roy L. Rogers and George Boyd in May 1913 and from then on it was named the Monarch Barber Shop with pool, billiards and a bowling alley. It is assumed there was only one arcade alley at this location. |
